Ryanair web 0.2 attitude
See this:
Ryanair can confirm that a Ryanair staff member did engage in a blog discussion. It is Ryanair policy not to waste time and energy in corresponding with idiot bloggers and Ryanair can confirm that it won’t be happening again.
And now read the rest at No Pork Pies.
I think this attitude, along with the suggestion that Ryanair may charge people to use the toilet, will be an excellent business gain for easyJet.
T-Mobile doing us all a favour
Here is the message printed on a T-Mobile phone bill:
Have a look – we’ve put your VAT saving on your bill.
I don’t know about you, but as far as I’m concerned, a VAT charge is a VAT charge and not a saving. It may currently be calculated at 15% (rather than the 17.5% of a few months ago), but it is a charge and T-Mobile have only complied with the law by charging the correct amount.
I guess some people will think they have received special treatment from T-Mobile. You can fool some of the people some of the time.

Visual display of quantitative information
I love visual display of quantitative information when it is done well. In fact I even bought the Edward Tufte book years ago.
I just spotted this chart, showing the comparative progress of 4 bear markets. It overlays 1929 crash, 1973 oil crisis, 2000 tech crash and the yet to be given a good name 2007 current bear market. If we are to take it’s inferences…hold on to your hats.
