And now I’ve had an email, system generated I suspect, that says:

“Thank you for your enquiry. A member of our Customer Care team will be in touch with you soon to arrange your FREE laser eye surgery consultation. We aim to be in contact with you within 24 hours.

“You have now been entered into our exclusive competition to win FREE treatment.”

Well, they’ve managed to confuse the hell out of me. Luckily my eyesight is okay to find another optician.

But I bet they offer a ‘while you wait’ service.

A man went to an eye specialist to get his eyes tested and asked, “Doctor, will I be able to read after wearing glasses?”

“Yes, of course,” said the doctor, “why not!”

“Oh! How nice it would be,” said the patient with joy, “I have been illiterate for so long.”
