So, look what I’ve been up to.

WhiteKnights Football Festival 2011

In 2010, 220 teams took part in the tournament. This year’s festival is planned to be the largest the club has ever run and is over two days so that we can accommodate more teams, bigger leagues and ensure we give ALL the players plenty of playing time. Girls are very welcome in all the groups up to U11 and like many clubs we are keen to promote the girls game so we have additional girls-only sections.

It may be football for children, but it takes all the organisation of a commercial outdoor event. The planning team has booked the ambulance support, the risk assessment is under way, the catering is planned…and so it goes on.

In total there will be 240 teams playing at least 4 games each over 14 pitches. Glad I’m not planning that element.
