Here’s a coincidence. A friend and I met up for lunch yesterday. We were discussing how annoyed we were with Curve; they sold to Lloyds Bank plc and shafted the early crowdfunding investors who got nothing. Zilch. Both of us were in the same situation.
The founders of Curve presumably did well out of the sale. But how would they have managed without the early private investors?
I understand that any investment is a risk, but I think this transaction is shabby to say the least.
Here’s the coincidence; while we were at lunch we both received the same email from Curve:
Due to inactivity, your account is scheduled for closure
Your Curve Pay account has been inactive for a while. For your security, it will be closed in 14 days unless you use it again before 26 December 2025. You can still join Curve anytime by opening a new account.
How do you read that message? I read it as we are all more secure not having a Curve account as they are closing the account for my security. Amazing.
