Make sure you have the full view

solitaire with a column missing

Today’s eureka moment. And who said playing games on your computer was a waste of time?

I just made a decision this morning, I had been thinking about it for three days. The decision I made was to remove myself from a project that was irritating, mentally unrewarding and a negative time consumer.

After communicating my decision, and to ruminate on it, I was playing patience on my computer and mulling things over. I was struggling to get a win. Then I noticed the way I had the window open on my computer; it was obscuring a column of cards, 10% were out of sight…I was never going to win.

The lesson I learnt: step back, pause, make sure you can see all the information and you understand the resources you have.

The day is looking literally and metaphorically bright and sunny now.
