Now I’m sure that Lakehouse is a wonderful company and does great work. That’s not the subject of this post.
A test for you: what is the business of a company that claims they are “making an impact through deeper relationships”? Go on, have a guess.
I wouldn’t have guessed either. The marketing bollocks strapline above comes from Lakehouse, “a building services company focused on customers and their communities. We make a difference to people’s lives constructing, improving and caring for social housing, education environments and public buildings.”
What they really do is “construction, regeneration and refurbishment, residential development, repairs and maintenance, compliance, sustainability.”
I’m sure Lakehouse may tell me that I’m missing the point. But my point is that their strapline just makes me laugh. Thank you, Lakehouse.
Update 9 April 2020: Since writing this post, Lakeland has become Sureserve. Sureserve seems to have a more sensible messages on its website.
